She is known for her ability to build, scale, and lead with clarity, even in environments defined by complexity and change.
Carmen currently serves as Chief Operating Officer of the National Association of Investment Companies (NAIC), a leading industry organization representing more than $475 billion in assets under management. In this role, she leads initiatives that expand access, strengthen leadership, and help high-performing investment firms reach their full potential. Her leadership has earned national recognition, including honors such as Power100, Inclusive Leader of the Year and distinction among the most influential women in institutional investing. Yet beyond titles and accolades, her work has always been rooted in something deeper: the belief that leadership is not about control, but about courage, trust, and the willingness to move forward even when the path is uncertain.
The Bumblebee Blueprint is the culmination of both her personal and professional journey, a reflection on the improbable strength we all carry, and the quiet, persistent work required to bring it to life.
